Inventory taking of lands of populated localities and lands of non-agricultural purpose outside their boundaries

As of 1 January 2010 the total area of populated localities equals to 7,424 thou. hectares.   

Area of lands of populated localities, inventory of which has been taken, equals to 4,676.9 thou. ha or 63 % of the total area.

Inventory of lands of non-agricultural purpose outside populated localities has been taken on the area of 7,921 thou. ha that equals to 77.9 % of their total area.  

During 2009 it was taken inventory of lands on the total area of 344.1 thou. ha, 201.7 thou. ha out of which outside boundaries of populated localities. 

Establishment of boundaries of populated localities

As of 1 January 2010 boundaries have been established according to land development designs for establishing or changing boundaries of a populated locality in 19,252 out of 29,835 populated localities of Ukraine that is 64.5 % of their total number, including:

cities of regional subordination (179) – 78 or 43.6 % established;

cities of district subordination (280) – 112 or 40 % established:

towns (886) – 552 or 62.3 % established;

villages (28,490) – 18,510 or 65 % established;

During 2009 boundaries were established in 76 populated localities, that is: in 2 cities of regional subordination (Krasnoperekopsk in the AR of Crimea, Kremenchuk in Poltava region), 13 cities of district subordination, 2 towns, and 59 villages. 

Expenses from the state budget for establishing boundaries of populated localities were not envisaged for 2009. Neither are they envisaged for 2010.

 Demarcation of lands of the state and communal ownership

As of 1 January 2010 29,357.8 thou. ha of lands are subject to demarcation. Local self-governments and executive authorities have adopted 2,214 decisions about demarcation of lands of the state and communal ownership on the area of 3,520.2 thou. hectares.

422 land development designs for the area of 1,434.4 thou. ha have been ordered.

57 land development designs about demarcation of lands of the state and communal ownership for the area 173.1 thou. ha have been approved.

During 2009 local self-governments and executive authorities adopted 865 decisions about demarcation of lands of the state and communal ownership for the area of 532 thou. hectares.
